CES 2026 Announcement Summary: GeForce NOW is expanding to more platforms than ever, highlighted by a native Linux PC app entering beta early this year and a dedicated app for Amazon Fire TV devices also launching early this year. Flight-simulation fans will gain flight controls support, while members everywhere will enjoy faster access to more games through a new Gaijin.net single sign-on integration. Members can follow updates on these upcoming features and new game releases every GFN Thursday. Fit and Finish: The gamepad “Hold START” hotkey has been adjusted to require a longer press before opening the GeForce NOW in-game overlay, allowing the START button to function normally in supported games like ARC Raiders. Bug Fixes: General stability and performance improvements. |

Improved Language and Audio Preferences: Members can use the game details to see a full breakdown of the supported languages including options for the game’s interface, audio, and subtitles. You also have the ability to set your preferred game language to use during gameplay. Games will launch with this preferred language if it’s supported in-game. This is especially helpful if you prefer your in-game language to be different from the language settings of your device or operating system. You can access this setting from the GeForce NOW app > Settings > Game Language. Expanded support for 10-bit Color Precision: GeForce NOW Ultimate members will receive an image quality enhancement when streaming from Edge and Chrome browsers on Windows, Chrome browser on Chromebook, Samsung TV, and LG TV. The feature is already supported on the GeForce NOW native Windows, macOS, or NVIDIA SHIELD TV app. This update enhances visual quality even if you do not have an HDR display or if a game does not support HDR. With 10-bit color precision, members will experience more accurate and detailed color gradients when streaming, particularly noticeable in vibrant skies, dimly lit interiors, character skin tones, or loading screens and menus. You can find this setting in the GeForce NOW app > Settings > Streaming Quality > Color precision. The 10-bit setting is recommended, but an 8-bit setting is available if your device is not supported. Bug Fixes: General stability and performance improvements. |
